- On this day after Winterail, I left Corvallis and hung around Vancouver, WA, before going to my friend Diana's house in Eugene.

Texas Trip, 2024
In April 2024 Susie and I went to Texas to see the eclipse, hang out with friends and to see trains.

- This was our first full day in Texas. We went to Garland where we explored the area and made plans for the next day's eclipse.

- Eclipse Day! We spent the day in Garland, TX, where we saw the total solar eclipse. On the way to dinner we saw a train. We were lucky to have seen the eclipse. By evening there were severe thunderstorm warnings.

- On this day we went to Dallas to sightsee, meet a friend and to see trains.
- Wednesday, April 10, 2024
- We drove from the Dallas area to Austin. The weather was a challenge. We stopped in West and Temple, TX on the way.
- Sunday, April 14, 2024
- On this day Susie and I rode the Austin Steam Train Association's Bluebonnet Special.
